Hey Chris:
Listen, your classes made a difference in my life. My whole approach to singing, performing even the way I listen to music has changed thanks to you, which is saying a lot, because I'm a stubborn wheel. I know that you can't expect anyone to give you confidence and self-esteem, but let me tell you man, the things I've learned in your class, the way you put me in touch with my voice is really something. I know that everything happens for a reason I truly believe that nothing's by chance. Chris, before your classes, I use to absolutely shake at the mere mention of performing and it really had nothing to do with practicing or the lack thereof, because I practice every morning, it really had to do with what was going on inside of me, in terms of my self-esteem and the horrible feeling of not being accepted use to be more that I could bear. I'm going to tell you something, I don't mean to be rude or anything, but you have a striking resemblance to my Father, it's almost scary. Anyway I don't want to take up too much space on this page. Even with the showcase coming up at the end of July, I almost feel like I have a chance, based on what you've showed me and I don't know how to repay you. I mean you charge for your services, yeah, but most of what you taught us is priceless.

It's good to see you still got the classes going and in looking through the site I have seen some of my formwer classmates (Jamila, John Keaton) and of course my aunt Diane Bailey. I still remember my very first show and how scared I was on the stage, shy and afraid of the mike - and then the last show when I was a whole other person and worked both the stage, the mike and the audience. Hi Chris I checked out your website and I see that you have accomplished a lot, as well as worked with a lot of famous people. As I said in my other e-mail that I have a daughter and she's 13yrs old. She has a very very nice voice and she writes her own music. She has done a lot of open mics here in Cleveland as well as Columbus. The one she did in Columbus they wanted her to come back as headliner but it was on a Sunday and she had to be at school on Monday and Columbus is a 2 1/2 hour drive from where we live. We did it for a couple of Sundays but it got to be to much. So now that school is coming to a close she is ready to come to New York to see if she could accomplish something there.My daughter has the talent and she has the drive and she is very interested in a career as a R&B singer. As I said she writes her own music she has already written 10 songs, and everyone that hears her songs says that she doesn't write like a normal 13yr old. And everyone that hears her sing can't believe that she's only 13 because she sounds much older. All she needs is a chance to be heard and someone that is very serious in working with her and I can guarantee that whom ever that person is they won't be sorry that they took that chance. We will see you on May 24, 2002 at Amy Ruth's Restaurant for the Jammin on the mike session.
